A man and a woman of Turkish origin live in Germany and are on the verge of committing suicide. Cahit, a self-destructive man, is an alcoholic who’s in the hospital recovering from a suicide attempt. Sibel is a young girl seeking a convenience marriage to break free from her family’s smothering grip. When she meets Cahit, she suggests they get married although she does not love him. Little by little, though, love blooms between them, but their relationship is rife with fears, existential conflicts and cultural clashes in a country that is often not very generous towards its immigrants.
