Documentary filmed on video on the procedures for making The Blackboard, by Samira Makhmalbaf, directed by Maysan Makhmalbaf, aged 19. Maysan follows in the steps of her sister through Kurdistan, in Iran. The story of a group of school teachers wandering through villages devastated, with their blackboards on their backs, in search of prospective students. These are reports of dramas lived by a population of Iraq Kurds who, in the course of the Iraq/Iran war 1980-1987, took refuge in Kurdistan in Iran to escape the chemical weapons with which Iraq wanted to kill them.
