In 1963, two young cowboys, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, are employed as shepherds at Joe Aguirre?s ranch in Wyoming. They become fast friends and this friendship develops into something closer. Ennis marries Alma and has two children. Jack, in Texas, has a child by Laureen. Four years go by, and Ennis receives a postcard from Jack to say that he will come see him in Wyoming. They meet and resolve to carry on meeting, only, in secret, for the passion they once felt has not waned. Their encounters over 20 years are in Brokeback mountain. Based on the novel by the same name by Anne Proulx and winner of the Pulitzer prize.
