Joãozinho is a young man from Angola descending from a rich family of the colonial period. This mestizo only wants to enjoy life by going out with girls, having fun with his friends and spending his money. Although he is a high-ranking executive of the National Bank of Angola, he divers funds from the institution he works at, distributing money among his friends, militants fighters for Angola’s liberation. Joãozinho is eventually arrested, but once the Salazar regime unexpectedly falls, he is released as a political prisoner and received as a local hero.
