Winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1978, the film follows a day in the life of a group of people who meet again to celebrate the annual banquet for rod fishermen. However, the gathering is marked by adverse circumstances: a popular demonstration that ends in street violence; the cooks who go on strike, and the realization that the trout chosen for the meal are rotten. However, no one questions the quality of the food, as it would mean doubting the very social bond that unites them. In the end, several people are poisoned.
