In the city of Lágrimas, peasants haunt a wealthy orange-growing family by setting up camp in the fields after the harvest, claiming their rights as a consequence of a past marked by land grabbing and cruelty attributed to the landowners. Plagues threaten the plantation. Animals fall ill. The radio announcer forecasts heavy rain. The priest preaches that new times will come and causes discontent. Victims of their own selfishness and cowardice, the members of the protagonist family are gradually consumed by their neuroses, and only a seismic shock is capable of changing the course of events. A miniseries based on the work of José Wagner Garcia.
