Jos, a small-time crook from a family of born losers, finds himself completely sidelined — much to his frustration. His daughter has lost all respect for him, his wife distrusts him, and his friends no longer take him seriously. When his somewhat clumsy son-in-law Özgür offers him a chance to regain respect — a lucrative drug deal — Jos jumps at the opportunity. However, when the deal spirals completely out of control, Jos must find a way to make things right. Together with Özgür and his father, he embarks on a desperate journey from the marshes to the rolling hills of Limburg and back, searching for an answer to the question that haunts him: “Who or what is punishing me?”.
