The film debates the work relations between countryside and city through Alex’s life. In a timeless flow, the character tries to earn a living and survive as a general service assistant and street vendor in the city of São Paulo, and as a sugarcane cutter in the interior of the state. The conflicts in his daily life gradually lead to his need for change.
