“Around the Corner” listens to the different voices of sex workers at the Vila Mimosa, Rio de Janeiro, the oldest and most famous prostitution stronghold in Brazil. The viewer is immersed in a valuable set of stories and images obtained through an agreement of trust between the director and her characters, shedding light on what is hidden or what we refuse to see, bringing to light female themes of great relevance. A film that invites the audience: listen to what a prostitute has to say, you might be surprised.
