The young Cusumbo works on a farm dedicated to the cultivation of sugarcane and the production of rum. She is fascinated by the legends of Don Goyo, a wild black man who lives hidden in the forest and possesses supernatural powers, thanks to a “pact with the devil”. Cusumbo falls in love with Nico, and in her quest to win his love, amidst the machete and booze justice, she gets carried away by the feeling of revenge. Inspired by the book of the same name of the Equatorian writer Demetrio Aguilera-Malta.
