Rita is a strong woman, resident of the Vidigal favela, who wants to give her son Léo a birthday party, a dream suddenly stolen when she discovers that Dudu, her husband, spent the money to pay off a debt that could cost him his life. To race against time and recover the lost money, Rita looks for ways to make the party possible using what she earns working on the beach and going after her network of friends.
