Through a series of testimonies from multiple characters, from different perspectives, all around the fact that medicinal cannabis is relieving the symptoms of diseases and bringing a better quality of life, the film’s narrative demonstrates the influence of the plant on the life of the patients and family members, and the effect that the topic has had on the form of medical care and scientific research. With this film, director Beto Brant now shows the debate about this theme in Brazil —he had already addressed this discussion in Uruguay, with the documentary “La Planta” (2020, 44th Mostra).
