Inspired by the life and work of her grandfather Joaquim da Costa Ribeiro, a pioneer of experimental physics in Brazil, the director investigates the mysteries of the Thermodielectric, a natural phenomenon discovered by him in 1944. She visits palm plantations, mineral deposits and laboratories, mixing archive materials with current landscapes, while narrating to the viewer everything she finds along the way, converging the fields of art and science. This enigmatic meeting, full of questions and doubts, but also curiosity and poetry, results in a reflection on the arising of electricity from the phase changes in our lives.
