In an Anatolian village, in Turkey, at the foothills of the mountains, there is a lake upon which the villagers depend for their livelihoods. In this isolated place with its own codes and laws, the young man Ali bravely resists against the domination of landlords and brutal gangs. At the same time, he tries to win back the relationship with his wife, who gets closer and closer to local corruption.
