We see over a period of three years —July 2007 to January 2010—, the living conditions of migrants in Calais, France. It shows how the policies undertaken by modern States go beyond the framework of the law, and create spaces of indistinction between the exception and the rule, in which the individuals are treated like criminals and stripped of the most basic rights.
