For this monument-film, Bressane used his works and edited them in an order that first follows historical chronology, but soon begins to move backwards and forwards. The many pasts —the 60s, 80s, 2000s— are commented on in order to shed light on Bressane’s themes and obsessions, which become increasingly evident and, finally, an entire idea of cinema reveals itself to the curious and patient spectator.
