In 1965, a year after the military coup in Brazil, an oasis of freedom opened in the country’s capital. The Brasília Film Festival: a landmark of cultural and political resistance. This documentary shows the path of the event based on interviews with people who built the festival’s history, including filmmaker and actress Helena Ignez, filmmaker Ruy Guerra, actor Rodrigo Santoro and film critic Rubens Ewald Filho. The film proposes to rescue the memory of what happened in more than 50 years of celebration of Brazilian cinema through the stories of more than 50 interviewees.
