Brussels-based director and screenwriter educated in Paris and New York. Among her works are the short films “Nkosi Coiffure” (2015), presented at the Tribeca Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival; and “Angry” (2021), as well as her first feature film, “Binti” (2019), presented at festivals such as Sundance, Zurich, and Tallinn Black Nights. She later co-wrote and directed an episode for the mini-series “Lockdown” (2021) that premiered at Cannes series. “Everyone’s Sorry Nowadays” (2026) is her second feature film. Bianca is a spirited girl of just thirteen. She’s searching for solid ground in a place where she feels unseen - by her mother, all whose love flows to her little brother and his heart condition, and her father and his new girlfriend, who find her out-of-control. Everything shifts when her favorite famed actress, Billie King, suddenly appears in their living room. Over the course of a scorching summer day filled with overwhelming emotions, Bianca’s vivid imagination and jumble of thoughts rise to the surface. She realises that not everything is what she thought and tries to find her way back to her mother. Based on Bart Moeyaert’s novel, the film was presented at the Berlin International Film Festival.
