
Zoey Martinson is a writer and director in film and theater. Born on the Menominee Nation then lived in Africa, London and the USA. Her theater company Smoke & Mirrors Collaborative creates work around social justice themes and has toured internationally presenting and organizing Arts Missions for the United States Consulate General. She directed episodes of TV shows, like “Ziwe” (2022) and “True Believers” (2016), and short films such as “Cupids” (2021), “DIVR” (2022), and “The Wave” (2024), presented in film festivals like Tribeca and SXSW. “The Fisherman” is her first feature film.
