Born in Buôn Ma Thuột, a city in Vietnam’s central highlands, Trương Minh Quý often sets and finds inspiration for his films in this region. He has directed, among others, the feature films “The Tree House” (2019), screened at the Locarno, New York and Rotterdam film festivals, and “Viet and Nam” (2024), selected for Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival.
