
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972. He began his artistic career as a graffiti artist and by making animated short films. Together with Erik Gandini, he directed the documentaries “Sacrificio, who Betrayed Che Guevara?” (2001), awarded at the Havana Film Festival, and “Gitmo – New Rules of War” (2005). Among Saleh most important works are the fiction features “Metropia” (2009, 33rd Mostra), exhibited at Annecy and awarded at Venice, “Tommy” (2014), “The Nile Hilton Incident” (2017, 41st Mostra), winner of the grand jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival, “The Contractor” (2022) and “Boy from Heaven” (2022, 46th Mostra), winner of the best screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival.
