She graduated from the University of Calcutta with a Master’s degree in English Literature and began her career in theatre, directing and acting. In 2011, Tanushree graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India with a diploma in Film Editing. Her work as an editor has been screened at film festivals around the world, including Berlin, Locarno, Rotterdam, Rome, Hot Docs, and Busan, and includes “Just Like That” (2019) and “Eeb Allay Ooo!” (2019), both presented at the Mostra. “Shadowbox” is her first feature film as a director.
