
Scholz is a journalist and documentary filmmaker. At UFPR (Federal University of Paraná), he had classes with filmmaker Sylvio Back and worked as an assistant director for a documentary about the Kaingang Indigenous land. In 1998, on Canal 21, he edited the documentary “IV Centenary of São Paulo.” In television journalism, he worked as editor- in-chief at Rede Manchete, CNT, TV Globo, TV Band, TV Record, and TV Cultura, where he also directed the program Roda Viva. Since September 2021, he has been in charge of the documentary division at TV Cultura. He directed films such as “Um Estado Devastado pelas Águas - A Tragédia no Rio Grande do Sul” (2024), “Democracia no Brasil - 40 Anos de História” (2025), and “Xingu Envenenado - Ameaça aos Povos Indígenas” (2025).
