
Filmmaker born in France in 1970. He studied at the Beaux-Arts school then at Le Fresnoy-Studio. Betbeder directed short films including “Inupiluk” (2014), awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Festival, as well as nine feature films, among them are “Cloud” (2007), screened at the Locarno Film Festival, “2 Autumns 3 Winters” (2013), presented at Cannes ACID, “Ulysses & Mona” (2018), exhibited at the Toronto International Film Festival, and “Thick and Thin” (2022). Always made with an independent spirit, his films allow him to explore various forms of narratives, comedy being his favored genre. Following “Journey to Greenland” (2016), he returned to the island in 2024 in order to shoot “The Incredible Snow Woman”.
