Born in New York in 1984. Over her extensive acting career, she has appeared in films such as “Lost in Translation” (2003), by Sofia Coppola, “The Black Dahlia” (2006), by Brian De Palma, “The Prestige” (2006), by Christopher Nolan, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2008), by Woody Allen, “Her” (2013), by Spike Jonze, “Under the Skin” (2013), by Jonathan Glazer, “Hail, Caesar!” (2016), by Ethan and Joel Coen, and “Asteroid City” (2023), by Wes Anderson, in addition to playing Black Widow in several Marvel Studios films. She has been nominated for an Academy Award twice: Best Actress for “Marriage Story” (2019, 43rd Mostra), by Noah Baumbach, and Best Supporting Actress for “Jojo Rabbit” (2019), by Taika Waititi. “Eleanor the Great” marks her feature directorial debut.
