Born in Bangalore, he studied philosophy at St. Stephen’s College in Delhi before attending the Film and Television Institute of India. He has worked as a cinematographer on a variety of projects which were exhibited in film festivals such as Berlin, Sundance, Locarno and Rotterdam, and includes “The Bangle Seller” (2018), “Just Like That” (2019) and “Eeb Allay Ooo!” (2019), all presented at the Mostra. He was also the cinematographer of “All That Breathes” (2022), winner of the best documentary award at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the Academy Awards. “Shadowbox” is his first feature film as a director.
