Lebanese filmmaker, Sarah Francis grew up in Beirut, where she studied at the Institute of Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Studies. Her works often present sonic landscapes and visual tableaus that explore our ever-changing position within the world. She directed the feature films “Birds of September” (2013), presented in the main competition of the CPH:DOX and screened at numerous festivals and museums, and “As Above, So Below” (2020), exhibited at the 44th Mostra and at the Berlin International Film Festival.
