A director and screenwriter born in 1991, Kabiri is based in Tehran, Iran. He pursued his screenwriting studies at the Art University of Tehran. His nuanced depiction of gender relations in his country is a distinctive aspect of his early works, like the short films “Quadrumvirate” (2015) and “Bro” (2020), presented in film festivals like Frameline. “The Crowd” is his first feature film.
