Stringer is an animator and director based in the United Kingdom. His work explores a variety of animation techniques, ranging from narrative films to experimental music-based visual performances. In addition to "Crab Day", he directed the short film "Trunk Calls" (2020). He occasionally works as an art and animation tutor and has conducted workshops and guest lectures for different age groups, from primary school pupils to undergraduate students.
