
Born in India, in the Meghalaya region, Pradip Kurbah has significantly contributed to regional cinema, particularly through films in the Khasi language, with stories dedicated to social issues and the presence of Northeast India’s unique cultural heritage. Self-taught, he has directed the feature films “Ri – Homeland of Uncertainty” (2014), “Onaatah – Daughter of the Earth” (2016), and “Ïewduh - Market” (2019), awarded at the Busan International Film Festival.
