
Filmmaker based in Madrid, Giroud born in Havana, Cuba, in 1973. He studied design at the Instituto Superior de Diseño and was initially a designer and art director for films and theater productions, as well as a video artist. His first feature film was “La Edad de La Peseta” (2006), presented at festivals such as Toronto and Mar del Plata. He also directed “Omertà” (2007), “Playing Lecuona” (2014), “The Companion” (2015) and “El Caso Padilla” (2022), presented at the Telluride and San Sebastián film festivals and at the BAFICI.
