
Born in Hyderabad, India, Ghaywan is a director and screenwriter. Neeraj has built a distinct body of work across film and long-form streaming, often centering his narratives around caste, class, gender, and identity. He directed short films such as “Noise” (2011), “The Epiphany” (2013) and “Juice” (2017), and the feature film “Masaan” (2015), which was screened in festivals around the world and won the critics’ prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. “Homebound” is his second feature film.
