Born in the Netherlands in 1987, Michiel graduated in animation from the Utrecht Arts University and began his career as an animator and illustrator. His first feature as a director, “The Deflowering of Eva van End” (2012), premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. He then directed the feature films “Guilty Movie” (2012), “Aanmodderfakker” (2014), and “Hotel Sinestra” (2022), as well as TV series such as “Ares” (2022).
