Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1973, he studied film at the New York Film Academy and directed feature films like “Side B - How to Make a Feature Film with No Money in Brazil” (2007, 31st Mostra), “Quarta B” (2005), winner of the audience award for best brazilian feature at the 29th Mostra, “Bellini and the Devil” (2007), “The Pit” (2008, 32nd Mostra), “Buddies” (2012), awarded with the audience prize for best Brazilian feature film at the 36th Mostra, “Farewell” (2014, 38th Mostra), “O Matador” (2017, 41st Mostra) and “Fourth Grade” (2021).
