Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1986. Her first feature film, “The Sharks” (2019, 42nd Mostra), received a Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and was also awarded at Guadalajara, Toulouse, Bafici and Lima, and presented in film festivals like Karlovy Vary, San Sebastián, Busan, Havana and London. Lucía also worked as a director and editor on two series in Argentina: “Porno y Helado” (2022) and “Barra Brava” (2023). “A Bright Future” is her second feature film.
