A Chinese film director and advertising producer. He was born in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy. He became the first Chinese to win the prestigious One Show Award, often called the Oscar of advertising, with his work for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, titled “Someone Else’s Child”. His debut film, “Welcome to Shama Town” (2010), was nominated for several awards. He also made films like “Love Will Tear Us Apart” (2013) and “The Yinyang Master” (2021).
