Karol Maia draws inspiration from her peripheral and Black influences to create her projects. She directed the series “Helipa - Um Autorretrato” (2024), and co-wrote and co-directed the web series “Cultura das Bordas” and “Nossa História Invisível”. She was selected for CoLaboratório, of the Netflix, LaNaNe, of the TV Globo, and the Netflix Directing Bootcamp.
