Born in London, England, in 1958. Stevenson has a long career as a director, screenwriter, and storyboard artist. He worked in the animation department of productions such as "Shrek" (2011), "Madagascar" (2005) and "Ice Age" (2002). He directed the animated features "Kung Fu Panda" (2008) and "Sherlock Gnomes" (2018).
