A director, screenwriter, producer, and editor who was upbringing in The Bronx and surrounding areas of New York City. Initially self-taught, he later studied at the University of Southern California, the University of the Arts in London and the UK’s National Film and Television School. His recent projects explore the intersection of documentary and fiction cinema, collaborating closely with marginalized communities in stories often center on themes of diasporic identity, coming of age, and issues of social, racial, and economic justice. For his short film, “May It Go Beautifully for You, Rico” (2024), he won the best director award in the Pardi di Domani at the Locarno Film Festival. “Mad Bills to Pay (Or Destiny, Dile que No Soy Malo)” is his first feature film.
