Born in Spain, she is a director, screenwriter, and producer. Her first works, like the short film “Nerabe” (1995) and the medium-length film “Alsasua 1936” (1994), were screened at the Mostra. She directed the feature films “Yoyes” (2000, 24th Mostra), “Extranjeras” (2003), “La Buena Nueva” (2008), “Nagore” (2010), “Acantilado” (2016) and “Varados” (2019). Winning numerous awards at international film festivals, her films are rooted in key social issues.
