Born in 1983, she obtained her MA in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and later enrolled in the Postgraduate Doctoral Program in Literature and Film. Before her feature debut, she wrote and directed several short films. Her first feature, “Quit Staring at My Plate” (2016, 40th Mostra), premiered at Venice Days, where it won the best european film award, and also earned her the best director award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. The film went on to screen at over one hundred festivals and received more than thirty awards. Her screenwriting credits include two feature films and the TV series “The Last Socialist Artefact” (2021). “God Will Not Help” is her second feature.
