
An award-winning Hungarian film director and screenwriter, born in Budapest in 1974. A graduate of the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, he is known for his visually inventive and genre-defying works. Pálfi’s films often blend fiction, documentary, and experimental forms, pushing the boundaries of cinematic storytelling. Among his works were feature films like “Hukkle” (2002), presented at the 26th Mostra, “ Taxidermia” (2006, 30th Mostra), “Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen” (2012), “Free Fall” (2014), for which he won the Best Director award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, and “His Master’s Voice” (2018).
