Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, in 1983. He is director, screenplay writer and editor, and was part of the artist collective Alumbramento from 2006 to 2016 and since 2012 he has been a partner at the production company Tardo Filmes. He directed short films, amongst them “Flash Happy Society” (2009) and “Dogs Are Said to See Things” (2012), exhibited at the Locarno Film Festival, and feature films, including “Estrada para Ythaca” (2010), “Os Monstros” (2011), winner of a special jury mention at the BAFICI, and “The Mysterious Death of Pérola” (2014), “The Cannibal Club” (2018) and “Inferninho” (2018), the last three presented at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Also directed “A Strange Path” (2023, 47th Mostra), winner of best picture prize at the Tribeca Film Festival.
