Director and screenwriter, she was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1987. She studied Advertising and Film-TV Production at Bilgi University in Istanbul, and after graduating, she worked as an assistant director on various productions. Her first feature film, “Dust” (2015), shot in Afghanistan and which explores themes such as memory, displacement, and resilience, was presented in international film festivals, including Montreal, Shanghai, and Mumbai. She also directed “Once Upon a Time in Anatolia” (2022) a documentary-drama series. “Cinema Jazireh” is her second feature film.
