Born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated from Columbia University and the London Film School. Her films weave social and cultural contexts into her narratives. Her debut feature, “Bends” (2013), was presented at the 37th Mostra and premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival — she is the only filmmaker from her country to be selected for the program with a debut film. “LUZ” is her second feature film.
