
A film director and editor born in Seville, Spain, in 1976. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Seville, specializing in editing at the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM). In 2001, he began his professional career as an editor, having worked on more than 40 films, and was nominated for the Goya Award for Best Editing on six occasions. He directed the feature films “La Herida” (2013, 38th Mostra), which won the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastián Film Festival, and also won the Goya Award for Best New Director, “Morir” (2017) and “La Consagración de la Primavera” (2022), both presented at San Sebastián. He also works in education, having been the head of the Editing department at ECAM in Madrid for 14 years, and collaborating with institutions in Barcelona, Seville, Costa Rica, and Cuba.
