Director, screenwriter and producer born in Madrid, Spain, in 1946. In 1977, he directed his first feature film, “Paper Tigers” (1977). His subsequent films include “La Mano Negra” (1980), “Estoy en Crisis” (1982), “Star Knight” (1985), “Rosa Rosae” (1993), “Los Años Bárbaros” (1998, 24th Mostra), “The Near East” (2006), “La Danda Picasso” (2012, 37th Mostra), “Isla Bonita” (2015), and “Antes de la Quema” (2019). His work was exhibited and awarded in film festivals like Venice, San Sebastián and Málaga.
