Born in 1965 in Singapore. An award-winning filmmaker, he had a fundamental role in the renewal of the Singapore’s film industry with his debut feature “Mee Pok Man” (1995), which went on to screen at several international film festivals. Then he made films like “12 Storeys” (1997), “Be With Me” (2005, 30th Mostra), “My Magic” (2008), and “Tatsumi” (2011, 35th Mostra), a tribute to the famous Japanese artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi. His work was awarded and presented at film festivals like Cannes, Toronto, Busan, Berlin, Telluride, Venice, Tokyo and Mar del Plata.
