
A Canadian screenwriter and director, his writing credits include the short film “Petit Frère” (2014), exhibited at the Cannes Critics’ Week, and “Prank” (2016), screened at the Venice Critics’ Week. Since 2016, nine feature films written by Boulianne have been released, including “Viking” (2022), presented at the Toronto International Film Festival, and two of the biggest Canadian box office hits of the past years: “Father and Guns 2” (2017) and “Compulsive Liar” (2019). In 2023, his short film “Faire un Enfant” was presented at the Locarno Film Festival, where it won the best direction award of the Pardi Di Domani section. “Follies” is his first feature film as director.
