Born in Uruguay, in 1988. Elisa graduated in Communication Sciences from the University of the Republic, in Uruguay, and from the regular course in the specialization on Cinematography at the International Film and TV School (EICTV), in Cuba. In 2025, she finished a master’s degree on Creative Documentary Filmmaking at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. She has served as cinematographer on a number of documentary short and feature films that have been screened in film festivals like Locarno, Berlin, Vision du Réel, IDFA and at Mostra, with “Balomania” (2024), by Sissel Morell Dargis. Elisa is the co-founder of Uruguay’s color grading post production company Artemisa Lab. “The Black Box” is her first feature as a director and screenwriter.
